While doing some research yesterday after publishing my article on how to use MTN BIS with droid VPN on rooted android devices. I stumbled on a setting that would allow it to work without rooting the device.
The setting requires an android device thats running Android 4.0+ i.e. running ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) or JB (Jellybean)
Next you need to install Tun.ko installer, the purpose of installing this app is to confirm that your phone has the Run module preloaded with the device (most android phones running Android 4.0+ has this by default). If your phone has it then you are good to go and can proceed with the steps belowDroidVPN on your phone, go to the settings menu and change the connection protocol to UDP
Step 2. Click on the box beside use DroidVPN without root access
Step 3. Scroll to the set UDP port and enter 500
after you have done these you can now go back to the main app screen and click on the ON button to connect.
