LG ANNOUNCES THE OPTIMUS L1 II....THE CHEAPEST ANDROID SMARTPHONE THAT ISN'T CHINKO

By

LG Electronics fresh from announcing their Samsung Galaxy S4 inspired G2, they have also taken off the wraps off their new pocket friendly android smartphone. The Optimus L1 II is expected to go on sale at $95 (N15,200) which is really cheap for a major device maker.
The Optimus L1 II is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory (expandable via a microSD slot), a 3.0inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels Touchscreen display), 3G, WiFi and Android Jellybean.

The only other devices from major phone manufacturer that offers anything similar at that price would be the Galaxy Young/Star/Pocket/Core (whatever Samsung decides to name them), and the Nokia Asha 501. However you can probably get a better speced device from any of the Chinese phone makers at this price.
