JAY-Z DISSES DRAKE ON JAY ELECTRONICA'S WE MADE IT

By
Jay-Z has been known for years to be an artist that seems to prefer to take sublimal shots at other artists in the music industry and never seems to name the artist in question leaving just veiled references to them. But on this track he goes after Drake's Rolling stone magazine comments where he questions Jay-Z penchant for mentioning art like the "Basquiats" in his songs, spiting bar "Sorry Mrs. Drizzy for so much art talk," Jay Z raps on the track. "Silly me, rappin' 'bout shit that I really bought / While these rappers rap about guns that they ain't shot / And a bunch of other silly shit that they ain't got."

The YMCMB artist had called jay-Z's reference of art corny in the rolling stone interview
"It's like Hov can't drop bars these days without at least four art references," "I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.".
