The LG G2 brought in a great new way of unlocking your Android device which just required a simple double tap on the screen. This feature makes a bit more easier to gain access to your device than the conventional swipe or slide to unlock on most Android device (Nokia had already introduced this feature on the N9). As of now this feature is limited to just the LG G2 and the HTC M8, if you really fancy having this feature on your Android phone now, all you need to do is to download this app from the Google Play Store and an Android device with an OLED (AMOLED) screen.
This app requires an OLED screen as the app keeps the screen on inorder to detect touch input. This would result a considerable power drain if you use this app on a device with a LDC screen. Knockr supports several gestures including double tapping the screen, swiping in a particular direction (up, down, left or right), long pressing the screen, and pressing the volume up key. These gestures can then be defined to launch applications of your choosing or unlocking the screen.
So if you’ve got an OLED device such as Samsung’s or Motorola’s recent offerings, head over to the Play Store and give Knockr a try.
