HTC just announced a new device addition to its HTC One android based smartphone range. The midrange device borrows heavily from the design of the iPhone 6 and could quite easily be mistaken for one. The HTC One A9 which sports a 5 inch 1080p AMOLED display, retains the metal unibody of the HTC One series although with an iPhonesque flat back.
Among the design changes is the substitution of HTC's signature boomsound speakers for a home button which also houses a fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the HTC One A9 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor with four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz, and another four Cortex A53 clocked at 1.2GHz. A 2GB RAM and 16GB memory expandable via microSD, Bluetooth 4.1, 802.11 a/b/g/n/a, 13MP back camera with OS and sapphire lens, a 4MP selfish camera, and is powered by a 2150mAh battery. The HTC One A9 will support both Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0. The HTC One A9 would come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and HTC is promising to bring quick updates to the One A9 within 15 days of Nexus devices.
The HTC One A9 will be available for sale at $399 or £479.99 for those folks in the UK.HTC One A9 Specs
