The word out of South Korea is that Samsung has suspended the shipment of the Galaxy Note7 after a second Galaxy Note7 exploded while it was being charged.
According to the report from Yonhap News Agency, Samsung has stopped shipping new units of the Galaxy Note7 to customers and telecoms operators in South Korea. The report which quotes an official from a telecoms carrier says:
"Samsung has stopped supplying the phones even though preorders have not yet been shipped," an official of a telecom carrier was quoted as saying.
"It is unclear whether the suspension is because of production constraints or a probe into the recent explosions."
Although Samsung has yet to officially acknowledge the incidents, it wouldn't be far-fetched to believe that Samsung would delay shipments of its new flagship smartphone in order to ascertain the cause of the explosion.
