Samsung Pay to launch in Brazil on July 19th

Samsung announced today that it is bringing its Samsung Pay platform to South America with Brazil being it's first port of call.

The Samsung Pay is expected to go live on the 19th of July for customers of these major banks such as Banco do Brasil, Brasil Pré-Pagos, Caixa, Porto Seguro, and Santander. Samsung says it's working towards expanding the number of partner banks with support for the following banks such as Banrisul, Bradesco, Nubank and Itaú-Unibanco to come a later date.

Samsung Pay is compatible with both traditional payment systems and the newer NFC payments which allows users with Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy A7 (2016), Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+. Although customers with Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge would only be able to their phones with NFC payment systems.
