New Netflix update brings offline mode to Android and iOS apps

Netflix today announced the addition of one of most requested features to its Android and iOS apps. The download mode which allows users to save movies and TV shows for viewing at a later time or when they're without an Internet connection.

The new download feature is available to all Netflix users worldwide at no extra cost regardless of their pricing plan. Saving the videos is just as easy as streaming it and all the user needs to do is to tap on the download icon on the page. Downloaded videos can be accessed via "My Downloads" in the Hamburger menu.

Users can choose to save the videos in SD or HD quality, although it should be noted that not all videos can be downloaded, those videos which can be downloaded are denoted by the download icon on their pages.
